Production Planner
TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is hiring for an experienced Production Planner to join a food processing company in the Reedley, CA area.
The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating purchasing, planning production activities, inventory management, scheduling, logistics coordination, cost analysis and budgeting for a fast paced food processing facility. This position will require strong analytical, organizational and detail orientation skills.
The Production Planner position is being offered on a Direct Hire/Permanent basis and the hours of the position are Monday through Friday, daytime hours and may require overtime and weekends as necessary. Company offers an excellent benefits package and a team oriented work environment. The starting salary range is $70K-$80K yearly, DOE.
The Daily Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
- Daily Coordination & Collaboration with Management Team (Production Management, Accounting, HR, etc.)
- Planning & Scheduling Production
- Procurement
- Inventory Monitoring & Management
- Freight/Logistics Coordination
- Cost Analysis & Departmental Budget Management
- Daily Reporting
- Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Vendor Negotiations
- Contract Management
- Employee Supervision of Production Team
- Additional Related Duties as Required
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in Production Planning or a relative role within a Food & Beverage Processing Facility
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred however a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Advanced Purchasing, Cost Analysis and Budgeting Experience within a Food Processing environment
- Professional Communication Skills (Verbal, Interpersonal and Written)
- Outstanding Time Management, Detail Orientation, Project Management, Organizational & Supervisory Skills
- Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)in addition to Industry Software Skills
- Ability to efficiently work within a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and simultaneous projects
- Strong knowledge of Food Quality & Safety, HACCP Certification preferred
